Trustworthy AI, Quantum, Open and Secure Systems

TAQOS

TAQOS works on quantum and post-quantum engineering, cybersecurity, secure and interoperable digital systems, and assurance for AI-enabled technologies.

We deliver public-impact prototypes, system architectures, validation environments, and secure-by-design engineering.

TAQOS is a research team within the Industrial Systems Institute (ISI), Athena Research Center.

Explore research themes

Quantum and Post-Quantum Engineering

TAQOS works on the transition to post-quantum security and on secure engineering methods for quantum software and hardware. Current projects address crypto-agility, migration tooling, development workflows, and interoperable quantum runtime environments.

Cybersecurity and Assurance for AI-Enabled Systems

Research includes protecting AI-enabled systems against adversarial behaviour and supporting explainable security decisions. It also examines compliance, privacy, robustness, and assurance where AI is used within data and service ecosystems.

Secure, Open, and Interoperable Data Systems

Current projects address governed data sharing, semantic interoperability, secure transactions, and compliance-aware data infrastructures. The work also covers open interfaces that help heterogeneous digital and quantum systems operate together.

Resilient Distributed and Cyber-Physical Systems

TAQOS investigates resilient networking and monitoring across distributed, connected, and cyber-physical environments. Portfolio evidence includes multi-UAV cooperation, aerial-terrestrial communications, and secure transition planning for critical digital infrastructures.
